It was a bad start to a honeymoon.

The new husband was kicked off a plane, accused of being drunk and disorderly conduct, according to a Reuters report.

The couple were flying from Atlanta to Costa Rica.

Royal Cayman Islands Chief Inspector Raymond Christian didn't name the couple but said the man was a U.S. citizen.

The Delta aircraft made an emergency landing Sunday night on Grand Cayman island to get the groom off the plane.

"The flight landed without incident and the customer was met by local authorities," Delta spokeswoman Lindsay McDuff told Reuters.

The bride remained aboard for the flight to San Jose, Costa Rica, according to Reuters.
