Fox is developing a new miniseries about the 2013 Boston bomb attacks.

Deadline.com reports, the four-hour film is based on the bestselling book "Long Mile Home" by two Boston Globe reporters.

It will follow the lives of five people who were forever changed by the attacks.

Deadline says the network tapped former journalist Rod Lurie to write and direct the series. His credits include the films "The Contender" and "Straw Dogs."

Long Mile Home was written by Boston Globe reporters Scott Helman and Jenna Russell, who were among the members of the Globe‘s team that won a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage of the bombing and its aftermath.

They will act as consultants for the Fox series.
