BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Nearly 50 games into the California League season, the Bakersfield Blaze are sitting atop the North Division standings.

Dale Billodeaux, a member of the Blaze's front office, joined Eyewitness News Mornings on Wednesday to talk about the team's season.

As much local attention as they've received, this week the team gained international acclaim for having "Hero Cat" at Sam Lynn Ballpark to "throw" out the first pitch of their game.
