This is my second stop with Eyewitness News, and it feels great to be back! I originally joined the KBAK team in October of 2005 as a producer.

Many people unfamiliar with Bakersfield may consider it a rest stop while on a trip, but I find it truly is the heart of California. I enjoy covering the stories that affect people in Kern County and uncovering information that develops into an investigation. I love stories that involve animals with inspiring endings and investigations that bring justice to those, who might not otherwise get it without our help. My other passion is covering environmental stories that are so prevalent here in Kern.

I'm a California native, raised in Los Angeles. There I earned a bachelor's of English Literature from UCLA. Go Bruins! After graduating in 2002, I worked as an editorial assistant for KNBC and "The Dr. Phil Show" and later became an associate producer with "Access Hollywood." I really wanted to move into news and was fortunate to land at Eyewitness News here in Bakersfield. I left in 2008 and worked with the FOX affiliate in Sacramento but came back to beautiful Bakersfield for family reasons.

I'm usually at work, but when I'm not I enjoy spending time with my amazing daughter and husband. I live to escape into a good sci-fi book or go rock hounding. I love the outdoors, specifically the desert. Lucky for me, Kern County is home to one of the most beautiful deserts in the world.

You can watch me and the rest of the wild bunch on Eyewitness News Mornings from 5-7 on CBS and 7-9 on FOX. If you have a news story you want to tell me about, please send me an e-mail.
