I anchor the morning shows for Eyewitness News and I love waking up with the people of Kern County and helping them get ready to start their days! I love my job because it gives me an opportunity to get to know people from all walks of life, people in the community I would otherwise never be able to meet. Part of the reason I love my job so much is because it's my way of being able to (hopefully) change the world and help others, one interview and one story at a time.

I grew up just an hour and a half south of Bakersfield, in the San Fernando Valley. But I was born in Thailand, after my family fled the Khmer Rouge regime. For college, I decided to move up north and go to UC Berkeley. I graduated with a double major in Political Science and Mass Communication. But as a little girl, I knew I always wanted to get into news. I got my start as a production assistant at KABC in Los Angeles, and then got my big break at KIDK-TV in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where I worked as a "one-man-band." That's TV talk for a reporter/photographer/writer/editor/producer/slave-who-doesn't-make-enough-to-live-on. But, I wouldn't take my experience back for anything in the world. However, I was ecstatic to come back to California and join Eyewitness News in October of 2005 after two frigid winters in Idaho. What can I say? I am a California girl at heart!

In my spare time, I like to run, eat (that's why I have to run), shop, read, dance, and watch movies. I'm also always up for a little adventure!

You can watch me Monday through Friday from 5-7 a.m. on 29 Eyewitness News and from 7-9 a.m. on Fox 58. If you have a news story you want to tell me about, feel free to call me at (661) 325-6397, or e-mail me using the link below.
