I joined the Eyewitness News team as an anchor and reporter in August of 1997. You can watch me at 5, 6 and 10 weeknights, and I also host and produce Eyewitness News Health Alert, Sunday evenings at 6:30. I'm a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists and a 2009 California Broadcast Journalism Fellow of The California Endowment Health Journalism Fellowships at USC's Annenberg School for Communication.

I'm a Nevada native, and was born and raised in the small community of Ely. I earned my bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, and completed a course on Writing for Children and Teenagers from the Institute of Children's Literature, in West Redding, Connecticut.

I have worked for radio stations in Nevada and television stations in both Nevada and California. I've interviewed a wide variety of people over the years, including a governor, an astronaut, football great Joe Montana, Kevin Bacon, Dr. Oz and Yanni.
