Parents get their way - for now - on school district boundaries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Panama-Buena Vista Union School District is postponing possible boundary changes.

A representative from the teacher's union said the boundary changes proposed by the superintendent will be revisited at the next school board meeting, but the latest development appears to be at least a temporary victory for some parents, who held a protest Monday and launched a petition against the boundary changes.

The parents group, from Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, said the boundary changes would negatively impact their children's education.
