BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A homemade bomb was found during a search Monday by drug detectives with the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

The search warrant was served in the 2000 block of Padre Street, just south of Highway 58 and east of Cottonwood Road.

Detectives located suspected methamphetamine, evidence of narcotic sales, a loaded gun, ammunition and an improvised explosive device, the sheriff's office said.

Eric Oliva, 22, and Alexander Devora, 41, were arrested.
