3 get prison for string of armed robberies

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Three men are going to prison for a string of robberies at restaurants and convenience stores last year.

Cameron Arterberry, Rashawn Armstrong and Donte Jones were sentenced Tuesday in Kern County court to between 15 years and 18 years in prison.

The men robbed Fastrip Food Stores, El Fogon Restaurant, Burger King, Carl's Jr. and 7-Eleven last November.

Arterberry was found guilty on nine counts of second-degree robbery, and two gang-related charges were dismissed. Armstrong was convicted on 10 counts of second-degree robbery, with one robbery count and two gang counts dismissed. Jones was found guilty on two counts of second-degree robbery, acquitted on six robbery counts, and two gang charges were dismissed.
