Patrol officers discover stabbing victim

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- A stabbing victim was discovered by Bakersfield police officers who were patrolling a northeast neighborhood Saturday night.

The victim who was bleeding from the chest and back was spotted while crossing the roadway in the  1300 block of Miller St. just after 9 p.m. according to Bakersfield Police Sgt. Martin Heredia.

He was taken to a hospital where his injuries were described as major.

There wasn't enough information available about the person who stabbed the victim to put out a suspect description, said Heredia.
