BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A man has entered a plea in court regarding sex with an underage girl.

Jon Aleczander Sweet, who was a 25-year-old assistant coach for the freshman baseball team at Garces Memorial High School at the time of his arrest this spring, pleaded no contest Tuesday in Kern County court to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse. Two other counts of the same charge were dismissed.

Police said Sweet and the girl, a 17-year-old Garces student, had a sexual relationship for nearly three months. Sweet was also found in possession of several nude photographs of the girl, police said.

Sentencing is scheduled for late July.
