BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Search-and-rescue volunteers pulled a body from the Kern River at Hart Park on Tuesday.

The body was discovered around 10:40 a.m.

The Kern County coroner's office overnight identified the body as that of 44-year-old Clayton Carl Hurst, of Bakersfield. The coroner's office hasn't said how Hurst died.
