BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A man wearing a dark-blue bandanna to cover his face robbed a bank on Mt. Vernon Avenue on Saturday afternoon. Police later released photos taken from surveillance video and said the man left the area in a charcoal-gray car.

Police were called to Chase Bank around 4 p.m. for a robbery that had just happened.

The robber approached the teller, showed a handgun and demanded money. He was described as being heavy-set and possibly in his late 20s or early 30s. The pictures show he was wearing a gray long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, blue jeans and a bandanna covering his face.
