BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A wildfire in the Kern River Valley stood at 75 acres Wednesday night, the last information on the fire provided by the Kern County Fire Department.

The fire erupted Wednesday in the area of Keyesville, located just west of Lake Isabella. The cause hasn't been provided.

The fire closed a portion of Highway 155 for a short amount of time after a spot fire jumped the road, the KCFD said. No structures were threatened in the rural area.

All Kern County resources were pulled from the fire lines Wednesday night, and U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management firefighters will work Thursday on hot spots, according to the KCFD.
