1 arrested following fire in Wofford Heights

WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A fire early Saturday morning at a home in Wofford Heights resulted in one resident finding another place to stay and the other being arrested on an unrelated charge.

The fire in the three-bedroom home in the 300 block of Oakwood was reported just after midnight.

Kern County firefighters said the structure was approximately 50 percent involved in flames when the first engine arrived. But, they were able to get it controlled quickly.

Damage is estimated at $140,000. No injuries were reported.
