DELANO, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A fire that destroyed a senior recreation facility last month was accidental in nature, the Kern County Fire Department said Thursday.

A more specific cause in still being determined, the fire department said.

About 80 percent of the roof collapsed as fire consumed the 9,000-square-foot structure on the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported.
