Arrest made in road-rage shooting case

DELANO, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Officers have made an arrest in an apparent road-rage shooting.

Oscar Hernandez-Rios, 19, of Canoga Park, was found Aug. 2 suffering from gunshots to the arm and leg. Kern County deputies discovered the shooting occurred during an apparent road-rage incident on Highway 99 in the Delano area.

Tuesday, deputies arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Christopher Deleon, of McFarland. Deputies found a loaded handgun, rifle and ammunition during a search of Deleon's home on 5th Street.

The sheriff's office didn't say what sparked the alleged road rage incident.
