High school to hold breakfast to celebrate national honor

Cesar E. Chavez High School will hold a breakfast 8 a.m. Friday to celebrate it being named to the U.S. News and World Report list of America's best high schools.

Cesar E. Chavez was a bronze medalist and the only high school in Kern County to receive the award, according to Assistant Principal Abelardo Sibecas.

Certificated and classified staff will be recognized during the breakfast.
