Bike Bakersfield's Project Light Up the Night ends Thursday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bike Bakersfield's Project Light Up the Night ends Thursday.

The organization will distribute free headlights and tail lights to cyclists in Bakersfield to help improve the safety of riders.

The lights will be handed out starting around 5 p.m. at the following three locations in Bakersfield:

  • Bike Bakersfield, Bicycle Kitchen, 1708 Chester Ave.
  • Intersection at Mt. Vernon Avenue and Niles Street
  • Intersection at Monitor Street and Fairview Road

Organizers with Bike Bakersfield said the lights would be distributed until around 6:30 p.m., or until they run out.
