Drive-by shooting injures 2

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A drive-by shooting Saturday that injured two people is being investigated by the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

It happened around 8 p.m. in the 2100 block of Cecil Brunner Drive.

Investigators said a dark-colored SUV was seen in the area near the time of the shooting. It's described only as a late '90s to early 2000s model.

One of the victims was shot in the leg and taken by ambulance to an area hospital. The other victim was taken to a hospital by a private party. No other information was released.
