BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Airport Bus of Bakersfield made its last run early Sunday, marking the end to a business that shuttled people to and from LAX for more than 30 years.
The bus made five round trips a day to Los Angeles International Airport.
In earlier interviews with Eyewitness News, workers said there just weren't enough passengers to keep the buses running.
"A couple people have expressed interest in picking up the business - but nothing solid yet," said Karen Phening in a phone interview Saturday.
That meant the last bus from LAX would arrive at 1 a.m. Sunday and the business' four employees would no longer have jobs.
