3 arrested in monthlong Bakersfield meth case

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police said they wrapped a monthlong drug investigation Wednesday with several arrests and the seizure of more than 13 pounds of methamphetamine.

Search warrants were served in the 300 block of Lloyd Street, the 3000 block of Oliver Street and the 3100 block of Cottonwood Road, police said.

McFarland police, Kern County Probation and the Drug Enforcement Administration helped with the case, according to Bakersfield police.

Guns and cash were also seized. Arrested were Miguel Marquez, 28, of Bakersfield, Luis Alfonso Mendivil, 21, of Riverside, and Jonathen Leyva, 26, of Riverside.
